The quality of Japanese grapes, which are better enjoyed as they are, is highly appreciated overseas, and the export volume keeps increasing every year. In recent years, it is common for cultivars to have no seeds, and they can be eaten without peeling the skin.

The characteristics and ways to enjoy Japanese Grape

Japanese grapes usually contain nutrients such as polyphenols, vitamin C, and minerals (potassium). It is said that polyphenols soothe tired eyes and prevent arteriosclerosis; vitamin C helps generate collagen and boost the immune system; and minerals (potassium) help maintain the mineral balance in the body.

How to choose delicious grapes
Color: Yellow-green grapes should be slightly yellow; Black and red grapes should be deeply colored
Stem: Thick and wrinkle-free; should not have turned brown
Bunch: Well-arranged shape with no grapes missing
Berries: Firm, covered with bloom (white powder); not crushed or split

The upper part of a bunch of grapes delivers a stronger flavor, therefore begin eating from the lower part; this ensures a good experience from the first to the last grape. It is recommended to enjoy grapes together with their skin, which possesses high nutritional value.

Common ways
to preserve fruits

Do not wash away the bloom (white powder) on the surface, as it helps reduce excess evaporation and keeps the grapes fresh. For a whole bunch of grapes, cut off each grape at the stem with scissors. Place a piece of dry paper within a storage container, arrange the grapes inside so they do not overlap, and then cover and store the container in the vegetable compartment of your refrigerator.
