Japanese Grape Pancake

Ingredients

  • Shine Muscat grapes 10 pcs
  • Kyoho grapes 10 pcs
  • Egg 1 pc
  • Milk 80g
  • Sugar 30g
  • Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
  • Cake flour 100 g
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Mint As needed
  • Fresh cream 100g
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Maple syrup As needed

How to make

・Cut five of the Shine Muscat grapes in half. Leave the remaining five grapes whole.
・Peel the Kyoho grapes.

  • 1Combine the egg, milk, sugar, and vegetable oil in a bowl.

  • 2Sift the cake flour and baking powder into the bowl from Step 1 and stir them in.

  • 3In a frying pan, grill the batter from Step 2 one ladleful at a time, starting from low to medium heat. (Grill six pancakes in total.)

  • 4Serve layered in the order of pancakes, cream, and then grapes.

  • 5Top with maple syrup to taste and garnish with the mint.

Tips for Preparation

・Give the cream a soft finish so that it blends more easily with the pancakes.
・It is also okay to use the Shine Muscat grapes if you can't get the Kyoho grapes.
